About Me
Having grown up exploring the glacially formed landscape of Western New York, I’ve always had a strong connection to minerals, rocks and clay. I have a passion for understanding the way things work - a passion inspired by the geologic processes that shape the earth, as well as my own family’s history of design and craftsmanship. My mother would spend hours with pencil, eraser, and graph paper sketching out plans for her garden beds, and she and my father progressively built out the unfinished basement of my childhood home from their own architectural plans. From them, I learned that I was empowered to design and build beautiful objects that solve problems and provide value where it’s lacking. My love of the earth and the process of design led me to pursue higher education in the arts, and earn a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics. I’m delighted to be continuously creating elegantly functional ceramic objects and sharing them with others.
